A.D.S. Ltd have extensive experience inspecting, servicing and installing moorings.
For a typical annual mooring service, the buoy is picked up and lifted along with several metres of mooring riser. This is thoroughly pressure washed to remove barnacles, mussels and weed. Shackles, swivels and chain links are inspected and measured. Whilst this is being done, our experienced, H.S.E qualified divers will carry out a thorough underwater inspection. This will include measuring chain links, checking shackles and anchors or concrete blocks are correctly set.
A full video is taken by the diver and this can be supplied to the client along with a detailed written report.
Minor repairs will be undertaken at the time by the diver ie, replacing shackles, swivels and pick up ropes. Bigger repairs such as replacing risers or ground chains can be quoted for and arranged.
New moorings can also be specified, supplied and installed.
